Aluminum CNC machining.
Aluminum is our most-machined material — fast cycle times, excellent strength-to-weight, and broad availability across the alloys most OEM programs require. Stocked grades include 6061-T6, 7075-T651, and 2024-T3.

Grades

| Grade | |
|---|---|
| 6061-T6 | Stocked or sourced for qualified aluminum programs. |
| 7075-T651 | Stocked or sourced for qualified aluminum programs. |
| 2024-T3 | Stocked or sourced for qualified aluminum programs. |
Considerations
What engineers should know.
6061-T6 is the general-purpose workhorse — good machinability, weldability, and corrosion resistance.
7075-T651 offers higher strength but reduced corrosion resistance, common in aerospace structural work.
2024-T3 is used where fatigue resistance is critical, often in aerospace skins and structures.
Surface finishing (anodize, alodine) coordinated with qualified outside processors.

FAQ
Aluminum — FAQs
The questions engineering and procurement teams ask most often before a first quote.
Which aluminum grade should I spec?
It depends on your application. 6061-T6 is the default for general components; 7075 for higher strength; 2024 for fatigue-critical structures. DFM review can recommend based on your loads, environment, and budget.
Do you handle aluminum surface finishing in-house?
Finishing is coordinated with qualified outside processors. We manage the chain so finished parts arrive together with documentation.
